    Outlook window not showing?

     

    Open Task Manager > Filter by Processes > Search for Outlook Programs running, click and "End Task"

     

     

    Emails Not Loading?

    If using the Classic version of Outlook, close and reopen and check the bottom status bar for loading inboxes

     

     

    Also, try using the New Outlook to see if any emails are there that are not showing on the Classic Version search "outlook" and can open either version.

     

     

     if the same version opens up as the one your using, click the toggle button in the top right corner of the outlook window 

     

     

     

     

    If the View has changed to a different style then you can change it back and apply that view to all inboxes.

     

    Go to an inbox that looks the way you want it and click to highlight > click the view tab > click change view > click apply current view to other mail folders > check all and apply to sub folders, press ok

    More Tips and Tricks:

    1. There are two versions of Outlook we will call them New version and Old/New version: 
      if you search in the taskbar for "outlook" the icon without "new" showing is the Old/New version. 

     

    You are able to choose between them by searching or in the application itself via the switch in the upper right corner.  

     

    You can use both versions, this is preferential. Although the Old/New version does have more customizable options and compatibility as of now.  

     

    1. To change the Theme of the outlook application (if its dark or light and you prefer one or the other) *on the Old/new version outlook, file>office account>Office Theme dropdown 

     

     

    1. Pop out window for Email compose and Reply: New Version = Settings icon>mail>compose and reply, pop out settings>check pop out a new window 

     

     

    1. Add "From" option to Emails 

    New Version: New Mail>options tab>check "show from" 

     

     

    This will allow sending from main account/alternates... 

     

    1. How to send from Alternate Accounts: Old/New version 

    New Mail>use "from" field drop down>other email address, can type in full email or> 

    Click from:>type in name of sender>double click correct address>click ok 

    **You will see the full address book but will be able to send to permitted  

    Addresses ONLY** 

    For new version: same steps except theres no "From: search" setting, so just type name of  

    Sending address 

     

     

     

     

    1. **Note: Sent Items from Shared Mailboxes copy to Main account sent folder as well as Shared Mailbox Sent folder** 

     

    1. To Favorite certain Mailboxes/Folders: 

    Old/New Version: Click and drag the mailbox/folder you would like to favorite up to the Favorites Section 

    New Version: Right click Favorites> add favorite> type in name of mailbox/folder to add 

     

    1. To Add Signatures and Set Default Signatures: 

    Both Old/New and New versions = New mail> Insert Tab > signatures list 

    Can also click Signatures > open signatures window and change default signature 

     

     

     

    **Note: Signatures will NOT default for Shared mailboxes now, they are not separate accounts so cannot have a default signature attached to them and will need to be changed via "Insert" option** 

     

    1. **Note: Deleted Items from Shared Mailboxes will only show in Main account Deleted Folders Items NOT in shared mailbox deleted folder. ** 
    2. **Note: Quick Steps are now attached to the Main account ONLY, there no more separated quick steps per mailbox 
    3. **Note: .Wav media file previews are only supported by the Old/New Version, for New version must download and play through a media player.  

     

    1. Open emailed File link with Office Application: Old/New Version File>option>advanced, file and browser preference section, check open supported hyperlinks..., change "open hyperlinks from outlook to" dropdown to "Default browser"
