Headset Troubleshooting

Common Issues:

  1. No Sound
  2. Others can't hear you
  3. Static
  4. Others say you sound low volume, robotic, cutting in and out
  5. PC or Program(Five-9, etc.) do not recognize the headset
  6. Mute does not turn off
*****Before you start, please make sure you are using the correct USB dongle*****

To resolve, Mute does not turn off:

  1. Click on the Windows start menu icon and type "Sounds" in the search box at the top.
  2. Then select Change system sounds.

  1. Click on Recording on the Tab menu
  2. Double-click the Headset's Microphone in the device menu.
  3. When the Properties box appears, click on the Levels tab and confirm the speak icon does not have a red blocked logo on it.
  4. If you it have the red blocked logo click on it once to turn off mute. If you do not see the red 'no' symbol, mute is off.
  5. Click Levels tab, Ensure the Speaker Icon does not have a blocked icon on it. It should look like

     

To troubleshoot other Symptoms:

  1. Try unplugging and plugging in the USB connection for the Headset, and try using another port as well.
  2. Check settings in the program or PC to make sure the headset comes back up.
  3. Click on the Sound Icon near the Clock on the main screen
  4. Click the sound output icon and click on the headset to highlight, then click the back arrow and change the volume, and you should hear audio feedback through the headset
